Seven Days Niagara Falls Tour From New Jersey for Nature Lovers

Ever since I moved to New Jersey, I kept hearing one thing over and over: “You must visit Niagara Falls.” So one morning, I decided to finally go on the Niagara Falls tour from New Jersey. I didn’t want to drive this time, so I opted for one of those Niagara Falls tours from NJ by bus. It was my best decision ever.

Starting My Journey: Early Morning from New Jersey

The bus picked me up at 4:00 a.m. from Warren, NJ. A few others joined from nearby towns. It was still dark, but I felt the thrill of adventure. As we drove through the peaceful highways, the sun started to rise. Honestly, what is the best time to visit New Jersey? I’d say spring and early fall. The air is fresh, the trees are colourful, and road trips feel magical. We were lucky that it was early September, crisp and cool!

Day 1: The Corning Museum of Glass

Around mid-morning, we reached Corning, NY, a charming little town famous for one thing, which is glass. Our guide took us straight to the Corning Museum of Glass. I never imagined glass could be so artistic and fascinating.

I saw live glassblowing demos where molten glass was spun into bowls, birds, and beautiful vases right before our eyes. We wandered through exhibits showcasing centuries-old glass artifacts. The whole place sparkled with creativity. I picked up a small hand-blown glass ornament from the gift shop. Guess what? Now it’s hanging in my living room.

Day 2: Watkins Glen

The next day, we headed to Watkins Glen State Park, a true gem in New York. If you’ve never been there, you’re missing out. We took the Gorge Trail, and oh my, the views were breath taking. Waterfalls, natural stone bridges, spiral staircases carved into cliffs. It felt like I had walked into a fantasy world.

Even though we were on a tight schedule, I made sure to snap dozens of photos. The best part? Walking behind one of the waterfalls and feeling the mist on my face. The sound of rushing water, the cool breeze, and the towering rock walls made it a spiritual experience.

Day 3 to Day 6: Visiting Niagara Falls

Finally, on the 3rd day of my tour, we arrived at Niagara Falls in the late afternoon. As we stepped off the bus, I could already hear the thundering roar. The mist in the air made everything feel cool and alive. My heart raced. I had seen photos, but nothing prepares you for the real thing.

Maid of the Mist

We spent our third day fully exploring the Maid of the Mist. Maid of the Mist takes people on a boat ride close to Niagara Falls. The boat moves through the mist and loud rushing water, giving riders a clear view of the massive falls. Passengers wear blue ponchos and feel a cool spray as the boat approaches the mighty Horseshoe Falls. Guides tell simple stories about the falls’ history, making the short trip exciting and fun.

Niagara Falls Observation Tower

The next day, we went to the Niagara Falls Observation Tower to explore. We rode the elevator up and stepped onto the wide deck that reaches over the river. From there, we saw all three waterfalls and watched the water crash below. Cool mist touched our faces while birds flew around the cliffs. We took photos, enjoyed the fresh air, and spent time looking at the powerful view before heading back down.

Whirlpool State Park

On the fifth day, we went to Whirlpool State Park to explore the wild river area. We walked along the trails and looked down at the deep whirlpool where the Niagara River twists and turns. The rushing water made a loud sound while trees and rocks lined the path. We stopped at lookout points to take pictures and enjoy the calm air before heading back to rest.

Cave of the Winds

The next day, we visited the Cave of the Winds for an exciting walk close to Niagara Falls. We put on yellow rain ponchos and special sandals, then followed the wooden paths that led right to the base of the Bridal Veil Falls. The water roared around us, and cool spray soaked our clothes as we stood on the Hurricane Deck. We felt the strong wind and watched the powerful falls crash just a few steps away, making the whole visit thrilling and unforgettable.
